12th street

i've been here for two weeks now, and the place is in no way all put together, but i am excited to finally have a place to call home. i have moved 5 times in the last 6 years and i am ready to stay put for a while. moving is exhausting, but it is nice to be able to clear out and get rid of things when you do. my roomie starts moving in next weekish, and i am so glad not to be living alone anymore. i don't understand living alone, i can't do it!

p.s. the corner of the bathroom is dedicated to dana because she gave me the banjo print, and there are chrysanthemum flowers on the towels which reminds me of egg tarts and tea in chinatown.

eve and ruthie!

i got together with katie rich last week in brooklyn! she journals here (katie did), and makes these fabulous clothes for her girls. we had a blast shooting her designs, and the girls were so much fun! it was great to meet a super sweet creative mom and her 3 kiddos (eve, ruthie, and charlie)

there are way too many good ones, but these are just a few of my faves. anyway, lots to edit this week, and meetings to make. i am moving on sunday!

until then,

kelsey

brooklyn brooklyn, take me in

here's a few from a shoot i did in williamsburg last wedneday. seems like spring with lots of patterns and flowers, but it felt like winter! so cold here these days. next week will be lovely, but i will be gone, gone from new york city.

this morning i shot these sweet little girls in the clothing that their mother makes them. stay tuned, they are super cute! i think i might like photographing children more than regular "adult" people. did i just say that?

time to go galavanting around now!

i would upload photos but...

...i can't, because i can't edit right now, because i sold my laptop. so, you get these photos instead.

as you can see brooklyn is great, and i am bored because i am currently waiting for a shoot to start. i tried to make a gif because i was bored, but i gave up, also deciding that an animation of yourself is a bit narcissistic, and i guess photos arent? i've been going to this coffee shop and writing a lot the last few days, so that has been nice. now im eating indian food from trader joes, and i am still bored. thank you kayla for a warm apt, nail polish, and the usage of your macbook.

atx

i love austin, tx. i always have, and like most weekends spent there, it was super. i shot two of my friends on saturday who are both talented musicians, and i shot a wedding with miss esther havens. so much fun.

adam is in a wizard rock band called the mudbloods. and yes, they are quite famous in the wizard world. i saw them in nyc once and literally everyone there was wearing a hp tie, and knew all the words to every song.

i've known alex since i was a kid, and he just came out with a new album, which is hands down phenomenally written and executed. his band is known as alex dupree and the trapdoor band, so have a listen.

anyway, we had a lot of fun shooting. i have too much editing to do!
